Alex: Did you ever watch Sesame Street, before I go into this?
Jimmy: Yeah.
Alex: Right, so why are some of the puppets puppets, and why are some of the puppets supposed to be human? Like, Oscar and Elmo are, like, monsters, but Ernie and Bert are kind of supposed to be humans, even though they’re puppets, and then some of them are just humans - played by humans - and Big Bird is a puppet with a human inside.
Jimmy: Yeah…
Alex: So, how do you define the different sorts of species? Why do they make some puppets puppets and some puppets humans? Why don’t they just have humans and puppets? Any thoughts?
Jimmy: It’s a good question and I’m glad you’ve raised it. I’m always up for a puppet-related debate, as I’ve mentioned before. Er, I think the reason is probably, erm, that they’re all actually human, but some of them have got this rare medical condition called feltface where your body becomes covered in felt and you adopt puppet-like features, and that was their way of getting the message across about the illness. That’s what I think the only logical explanation is.
Alex: Okay, well thank you, cos that was concerning me.Feltface! :)

This is a song about love, and not a very good one
